“Lantern Lighting at Como Park Japanese Garden” - August 15, 2010 — ONLY 2 SPACES LEFT!
Once a year, the Como Park Japanese Garden holds its Lantern Lighting Festival, when paper lanterns float across the pond and stone lanterns glow in the dark. Join a small group of photo students for a unique half-day class, and explore artistic and technical photo issues in and around the Japanese Garden during the afternoon, culminating in shooting the lantern lighting at dusk.
This class will offer the chance to work on compositional and emotional skills, and to experience an unusual photo environment. We’ll also explore the sights and sounds of the Obon Festival dancers, performers, martial artists, and vendors around the Park.
Tuition for the half-day class is $95.00. You can download a brochure here and register for the class by sending an email here. This class sold out very quickly last year, so don’t put off registering!
